About Our Company

Quality and Pride Since 1956

Positano Paving is a family-owned and operated company that was founded by our father A.J. in Toronto in 1956. In 1985, the company relocated to the Barrie area and has been focused on serving Simcoe County ever since. In that time, we have performed thousands of residential and commercial installations including driveways, parking lots, roadways, walkways, sports courts and much more.

Our longevity is a result of the quality of service we provide, our perseverance amidst a number of come-and-go competitors over the last three decades, and the immense personal pride we take in the work we deliver to the neighbours, friends, and people of our community.

Why Choose Us?

Experience

Our father started this business in 1956 - it's all our family knows, and we've been doing it a long time. We have a meticulous asphalt installation process which has proven to produce consistently superior results.

Pride

We take great pride in our work, and our family name is on every job we do. We believe that family is the most important thing in the world. No one is perfect, so if we make a mistake, we'll fix it- you have our word on that. Speaking of which, we stand by our work with the longest warranty around.

Warranty & Trust

We warranty our work for up to 5 years* and we are an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB). We accept Visa and Mastercard as payment, so you can collect your loyalty points. We are truly local; our owners and employees live in Barrie, so we are concerned with local issues. Our tax dollars and personal spending contribute to the local economy and community, not Toronto or Woodbridge.

Specialized Equipment

We achieve superior compaction by using heavy equipment. We use BOTH a pneumatic roller and a vibrating drum roller on every job, in addition to two static steel wheeled rollers. Two different sized paving machines to accommodate various sized jobs. We have a variety of excavation equipment (back-hoe, excavator, front-end loader) for when our skid-steers just can't dig deep enough or move enough material. We use an infrared digital thermometer to determine proper asphalt temperature prior to compaction. We seal and straighten edges of driveways by hand, compacting them at a 45 degree angle with steel tampers.
